We opened Lodos as a cafe restaurant in the corner behind the post office, on Çınar Çarşı Street on november 1999. We took the decision to move from Istanbul to Bozcaada this same year.

Lodos 110 years old historical building as been a long time ago the cafe of Andrea Manolidis, and has been used by himself after he sold it for various purposes. It was used as a cafe before Lodos was founded. The street in which this cafe was located was until the 1980's hosting various restaurants and cafes and was a center for Bozcaada's social activity, and we got very excited when we saw its original appearance with the stone bridges passing over the river on the middle of the street, with a view on the port. We decided to carry on this life to nowadays.

Lodos is the first initiative to recover the livelyness of Çınar Çarşı Street and its secondary streets. The streets that once upon a time hosted Simyon's tavern, Dali's cafe, Vasil's tavern, nowadays host once more similar installations. Hot summer nights have catched back these sounds calling to past days.

Out objective is to serve for long years, without any compromise on taste, with always the same savours, our friends of Bozcaada becoming a classics having good time for long.

We left 12 years behind us, and carry on with serving you from April to end of October, with no interruption, in the winter months, and during official and religious holidays.
